Vision and Intent

Volunteering at Esteem South Academy can be personally rewarding and can also help you to ‘give something back’ to your community. Volunteers bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities, achievement and enjoyment of children at our schools.

As a student or volunteer at Esteem South Academy you will be giving your time to help others but you will also increase your own confidence and get a sense of satisfaction and achievement. It’s a great way to try something new and gain new skills, maybe even increase your future job prospects. We welcome and encourage students and volunteers from all sections of the local community.

Anyone wishing to become a volunteer or a student completing a placement, should follow the process below.

Before starting to help in school, volunteers will also be invited in for a formal induction where we can explain the school’s expectations of students and volunteers and just as importantly, explain what can expected from our school. Students on a placement and regular volunteers will require a DBS check prior to starting with us.

  • Register of Interest by using the register of interest form
  • The School will ask you to apply for a DBS, or to provide current DBS information.
